2022 Projects
My first project of the year is a TV remote box for a friend. It will have walnut sides and tapered ebony legs, based on a design by Mike Jagielo (right). The legs and sides are joined with splines. Work in progress.

Dry-assembled (without glue), held by rubber bands. Whew, it all fits.

I'll install the lid with pin hinges (1/8" brass rod & washers). The handle is ebony, to complement the legs.

Because the glue-up is complex (19 parts plus hinges), I did it in two stages. Right & left sides first.

Wow, the Danish oil finish really gives the walnut a rich look.
