Securities crowdfunding was authorized by the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act of 2012.

Dave is coauthor (with David Fleisher) of Death of an American, published by Crossroad/Continuum, NY, 1983. It is based on the Singer v. Wadman civil rights lawsuit in Salt Lake City, in which the plaintiff’s lawyer was Gerry Spence of Wyoming.

Dave is the author of the bestselling woodworking book Box-Making Basics: Design, Techniques, Projects, published by Taunton Press, CT, 1997.

Dave is coauthor (with Paula Levis Suita) of Under Your Byline: 7 Steps to Writing Great Articles and Getting Them Published, a handbook published by Get Good Press (Chicago) in 2016 and updated in 2020.
